Peace Building

EDR believes that attainable and sustainable peace is built through global citizenship education from individual groups of people of differing generations, beliefs, and backgrounds. Particularly in a context of war and chaos, peace for the future of all is constructed through reconciling these groups to mutually understand one another and agree to pursue a different world than one of the past.

Bridging Generations

Bridging Generations (2014~)

Bridging Generations: With Heroes of the Forgotten War is an annual Korean War history event organized by EDR in partnership with American public schools and the Korean War Veterans Association (KWVA), bringing together Korean War veterans and American and Korean young generations – students, families, and teachers – to deepen understanding of the Korean War and honor the veterans’ sacrifice, patriotism, and defense of democracy and freedom. The program features South Korean students showcasing their culture, veterans sharing firsthand experiences, and a moving ceremony in which students present appreciation letters in gratitude for the sacrifices made to protect their families and country, followed by an opportunity for attendees to connect over Korean food and dinner.
