Step 2: Step Up stands by the motto: “Study & Fun”!

We aim for students to discover the fun of learning and understand that learning is a process, a journey. The two academic classes offered were English and Math.
A new element to the curriculum this year was “Flocabulary”, an educational online platform that employs hip-hop music to teach academic content alongside various fun vocabulary activities and quizzes. This was one of our attempts to provide students with multiple ways of engagment with the learning materials and increase students’ sense of belonging in the classroom.
Also, we had a special activity each Friday, “Reading Day”, where students would engage with different inspirational short stories and novels. Through this activity we showed students what it meant to just have fun while reading a good book!

Students showed meaningful improvement in their pretest and post-test scores at the end of the program according to the efforts that they put into their studying. Applauding each of our students!????
