Last Friday, Step Up collaborated with Brockton Mayor Robert Sullivan’s Clean City Initiative and held the New Brockton Event to celebrate our students’ hard work in improving their community. Thank you so much to Mayor Robert Sullivan, Brockton Community Schools Director Dr. Soraya DeBarros, and Brockton Bilingual Education Director Kellie Jones for attending this event.

Students worked together to prepare posters for their respective activities and how their work at Step Up contributes to a better Brockton. For example, our Graphic Design students presented the infographics and posters about the benefits of cleaning up the city that they made on Canva.

Our guests all gave our students some kind words of encouragement and presented them with certificates of appreciation for helping during our Clean Up event last Wednesday.

We hope that with this event, we can remind everyone that it’s all of our responsibility to keep this great city clean. Thank you to everyone who helped prepare for this event, particularly the Mayor’s chief of staff, our administrative staff, and our media team!
