At Step Up, our goal is to celebrate the diversity among our staff and students and educate each other on each other’s cultures.

Culture Exploration Day is an event we hold every summer where staff members share their favorite parts from their respective cultures. For example, we shared about about the Chinese Dragon Boat Festival, traditional Cuban music, Korean games and snacks, and more.

Of course, we also want to acknowledge our students’ cultures. We ran a Brockton Spirit presentation where students thought of new ways to help their community, as well as an egg-drop challenge where students drew their flags on eggs and engineered ways to protect them.
