EDR: SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT THROUGH EDUCATION

EDR (Educational Divide Reform) aims to provide English language programs and consulting to public schools, local governments, and NGOs that are devoted to helping low-income immigrants and their children learn English. These initiatives work in coordination with public schools’ educational reform efforts.

Support Public School’s English Education Reform

  • Develop Teachers: EDR intends to generate sufficient numbers of excellent teachers to spearhead English education reforms in their own public schools. The EDR teacher development consists of enhancing both speaking proficiency and teaching methodology.
  • Provide Optimized English Programs: EDR’s English language programs adopt a learner-initiated teaching model and provide teachers with programs to maximize students’ learning outcomes in and out of the classroom. The primary role of EDR teachers will be ‘coaching’ rather than ‘instructing’.
  • Support Government: EDR provides English language programs, consulting, and teaching models to local governments and NGOs which are devoted to helping low-income immigrants and their children learn English.
