What We Do
Educational Divide Reform organizes the annual meetings of young leaders from South Korea and local American schools with Korean War Veterans. The event that is hosted annually in February since 2013 aims to teach young generations of both Korea and America how American fore-parents made great sacrifices, along with Korean fore-parents, to defend South Korea’s democracy and freedom. Stories and speeches from event’s guests spark the minds of globally-minded young leaders helping them to realize American citizens’ sacrifices for freedom and democracy during the Korean War. The event is hosted in collaboration with the Korean War Veterans Association. The Massachusetts Department of Veterans’ Services officially recognized EDR’s work in educational area in an appreciation certificate to the EDR, which was granted to EDR at the event in 2013.
